Welcome to RoommateReady. By using this platform, you agree to follow the terms below. They keep things safe, respectful, and useful for everyone.

What RoommateReady Is For

RoommateReady is a member-based discovery platform where college students share who they are, connect with others, and find potential roommates. Everything posted or submitted should support that purpose.

Account Creation

• Accounts are created via email verification (confirmation code). No passwords are used.
• One account per email address.
• You are responsible for maintaining access to the email address associated with your account.

User-Generated Content

If you submit photos, bios, or other content:

• You confirm the content is yours or you have the right to use it.
• You grant RoommateReady a non-exclusive licence to display, share, edit, or feature it as part of operating the platform, including posting to school Instagram accounts.
• You retain ownership of your content.
• We may decline or modify submissions to keep the platform safe and consistent.

Community Expectations

To keep the platform positive and real, members agree to:

• Treat everyone with respect — no threats, harassment, or hateful behaviour.
• Avoid impersonation or submitting false information.
• Keep content relevant and free of unrelated material, promotions, scams, or spam.
• Not misuse the reporting system (e.g. filing false or malicious reports).

We reserve the right to remove content or restrict access if someone breaks these expectations.

Reporting Policy

Members can report other profiles they find inappropriate or in violation of these terms. Reports are reviewed by administrators, who may take any of the following actions:

• Dismiss the report if no action is warranted.
• Issue a warning to the reported member.
• Hide the reported member’s profile from feeds.
• Suspend or ban the reported member’s account.

Abuse of the reporting system may result in action against the reporter.

Account Termination

• Voluntary: You may request deletion of your account at any time. Your profile will be removed from public view immediately, and all data will be fully purged within 30 days.
• Admin-initiated: RoommateReady may suspend or ban accounts that violate these terms. Suspended accounts can still sign in but cannot create posts and will see a suspension notice. Banned accounts cannot sign in.

Our Branding

The name RoommateReady, along with our designs, graphics, and layout, belongs to us. Please do not copy, reuse, or recreate them without permission.

Service Disclaimer

RoommateReady does not guarantee:

• Specific roommate matches or connections.
• Interaction levels or engagement.
• That the platform will run without bugs, downtime, or errors.

Use the platform as-is and at your own discretion.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms occasionally. If you continue using RoommateReady after changes, you are agreeing to the updated version.
